Hasebe Yu

Hasebe Yu (長谷部優) is a Japanese actress and singer. She is a former member of the girl group dream, being one of the three founding members.

Hasebe left dream in August 2008 and signed to LDH to focus in her acting career. In May 2021, she left LDH and is currently working as a freelancer.

Biography[]

Hasebe was born on January 17, 1986 in Gifu Prefecture, Japan.

On August 10, 1999, Hasebe won the Grand Prix of the avex dream 2000 audition alongside Matsumuro Mai and Tachibana Kana, which led to form the trio dream.

On January 1, 2000, Hasebe debuted as a member of dream with their first single "Movin' on".

On July 22, 2008, Hasebe announced that she would leave the group to concentrate on her acting career, signing to LDH.[1]

On June 1, 2021, she announced on her Twitter account that she had left LDH JAPAN on May 31 and would change her current SNS accounts.

would like to report that I have left LDH JAPAN as of May 31st after 13 years of service.

I gained a lot of experience as an actress,
I was given a chance.
Looking back, it has been a truly valuable and precious 13 years.

Personal Life[]

Relationships

On November 23, 2019 Hasebe married actor Nitta Kenta.[2][3]

On June 23, 2022 the couple announced the birth of their first child.[4]
