Kizu Reina

Kizu Reina (木津レイナ) is a Japanese model and performer. She is a former member of E-girls.

Kizu debuted in EGD, a dance group of EXPG which became part of E-girls in 2012, with the release of their second single "One Two Three", alongside Suda Anna.

Early Life[]

Kizu Reina was born on October 2, 1994 in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Her father is Japanese and her mother is Filipino. Her parents divorced when she was one year old and she was taken in by her father's side and raised by her grandmother as a mother figure.[1]

She started practicing jazz dance when she was 4 years old and also learned various other genres such as ballet, tap dance, and hip-hop in her youth.[2] At the age of 16, she started participating as a support dancer in numerous live tours for EXILE, Sandaime J Soul Brothers, and more.[2]

At the age of 14, she also started modeling, and in 2009, she became a reader model for the fashion magazine Hana* chu→.

Career[]

2011[]

In 2011, she participated in the dance performance division of the EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 3 ~For Girls~. Although she was not selected in the camp screening, she became a member of EGD (EXPG GIRLS DANCERS).[3]

2012[]

On March 8, Kizu was announced as a new member of E-girls as part of EGD alongside Suda Anna. In the same month, she became a finalist in the exclusive model audition for the fashion magazine GLAMOROUS, but was not selected.

She debuted in E-girls with the release of their second single, "One Two Three", on April 18.[4][5]

2013[]

In late April, she left E-girls after participating in their first studio album Lesson 1 to focus on her career as a model.

In September, she signed a contract with avex management.[6]

2014[]

In June, Kizu changed her first name from Reina in kanji (玲奈) to Reina in katakana (レイナ).[7]

2021[]

Sometime in 2021, she left avex management and started working as a freelancer.

In October, she became affiliated with the agency IDEA.[8]

Personal Life[]

Family

In 2016, Kizu participated in a documentary variety TV program about "relationships with mothers" and travelled to the Philippines to search for her mother. With few clues and info about her whereabouts, Kizu was able to find her and reconnect. It was revealed that her mother had wanted to see her daughter, but could not make it to Japan due to her income, and had been studying Japanese for a long time to be able to talk with Kizu someday.[1]

Relationships

On January 13, 2022, Kizu announced that she had married professional soccer player Ide Haruya (Tokyo Verdy) on the 11th of the same month.[2][9][10] Their wedding ceremony was held on December 18, 2022.[11]

  • She is partly Filipino, Spanish and Japanese.
  • Her profile page was temporarily removed from E-girls' website during "Follow Me" promotions due to unknown reasons. It returned when "THE NEVER ENDING STORY" was announced.
