MIMU was a member of the Japanese pop vocal and dance unit Happiness. She attended the dance school EXPG in Osaka, appearing at EXILE's events, in music videos and on tour as a background dancer. In the spring of 2009, it was decided that she would become a member of the LDH unit Happiness among other EXPG students, and her official stage name became MIMU.
She left both Happiness and E-girls in October 2012 to focus on her studies.
In 2015, she returned to the show business by joining the group ITI as a vocalist.
Goal: I want to bring happiness and excitement to people throughout the world
She was supposed to participate in Happiness' fourth single "We Can Fly" (as she appears on the first single's promotional photo) but she announced hiatus before the single's announcement.
